After a long red flag— which was displayed Friday night around 8:10 p.m. due to lightning— Daytona International Speedway is set to fire up once again!
Thanks to Mother Nature, the Speedway will host an Xfinity-Cup doubleheader today, starting with the resumption of the Wawa 250 at 12:30 p.m.
The NASCAR Cup Series will follow tonight for the regularly scheduled co*ke Zero Sugar 400.
The weather forecast for the area looks much better today, although there is a slight chance of a pop-up shower or two.

2:15 |Justin Haley wins Daytona Xfinity race in photo finish
Kaulig Racing dominated the day, and they put on a show on the final lap Saturday at Daytona.
Justin Haley beat teammates AJ Allmendinger and Jeb Burton coming to the checkered flag in a photo finish to win the Wawa 250.
Haley, the 2019 co*ke Zero Sugar 400 winner, got a push on the high line from Daniel Hemric and was able to nose his Chevy to the win ahead of his two teammates.
Allmendinger finished second followed by Justin Allgaier and Burton.
"It's not been the best season," Haley said."It's been really, really hard. We've had a lot of bad luck. I was trying to formulate the plan, and we had team orders, but hat's off to Kaulig Racing. We got the teammate thing down. It's Sospecial to win here at Daytona."
2 p.m. | Multi-car wreck with 18 to go in Xfinity race
Multiple cars went spinning coming off of Turn 2 with 18 laps to go in Saturday's Wawa 250, bringing out the caution. Christopher Bell currently leads Jeb Burton, Noah Gragson and Just Allgaier.
Jade Buord, Matt Mills andCaesar Bacarella were all involved.
1:45 p.m. | Xfinity race under caution with laps winding down
Colin Garrett's No. 26 car went for a spin in the tri-oval with 27laps to go in Saturday's Xfinity race, bringing out the caution as the laps wind down.
Noah Gragson currently leads.
1:30 p.m. | Jeb Burton wins Stage 2 of Xfinity race
Jeb Burton held off a hard-charging AJ Allmendinger to win the second stage of Saturday's Wawa 250.
Allmendinger finished second, followed by Justin Haley to make it a 1-2-3 finish for Kaulig Racing.
12:45 p.m. |Austin Cindric involved in big Xfinity wreck at end of Stage 1
Myatt Snyder tried to push Austin Cindric's No. 22 going down the front stretch with five laps to go in Stage 1, but the shove was too much. Cindric went nose-first into the wall, causing a multi-car wreck that took our several drivers.
Michael Annett, who is coming off a leg injury,was also involved, as was Daniel Hemric.
"All's it takes is one idiot! One idiot, man. Come on!," Cindric, who won this race in February, said over his radio.
12:35 p.m. |Xfinity race back under green at Daytona International Speedway
Over 16 hours later, they're racing again at Daytona.
AJ Allmendinger led the filed of 40 back to green after the Xfinity Wawa 250 resumed Friday's originally scheduled race.
Allmendinger has led most of Stage 1, which consists of 30 laps. The race is set for 100 laps.

Everybody awake?
Daytona International Speedway is alive and well ... and dry! After rain postponed Friday's Xfinity race just 20 laps in, the skies have cleared and the racing is set to resume.
Green flag is scheduled for around 12:30 today with AJ Allmendinger in the lead with 10 to go in Stage 1.
The NASCAR Cup Series co*ke Zero Sugar 400 is scheduled for later tonight.
9:10 p.m. |Xfinity race postponed to Saturday due to rain
Mother Nature took the checkered flag Friday at Daytona International Speedway.
The skies opened up on Lap 20 of the Xfinity Wawa 250 and never closed, postponing Friday's race. It will now resume at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Parking lots Saturday open at8 a.m. and gates open at 10:30. All tickets from Friday's race will be honored. Tickets for Saturday's co*ke Zero Sugar 400 will not get you into the Xfinity opener.
AJ Allmendinger will be scored your leader when the green drops.

Tonight's Xfinity Wawa 250 is under red flag at Daytona International due to rain, but the fun hasn't stopped!
NBC Sports Network is currently replaying the 2001 Pepsi 400, which was won by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in his first race back at Daytona since his dad, Dale Earnhardt, died on the final turn of the Daytona 500.

The red flag has been displayed on Lap 20of the Wawa 250 after rain moved into the area during a competition caution. The cars are currently on pit road with the tarps on

The rain has cleared (for now), the lightning is gone, and AJ Allmendinger has take the green flag for tonight's Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway.
