Myotherapy for Chronic Pain With Jennifer Griffin

Course Description:

Myotherapy focuses on the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain, restricted joint movement and its associated pathologies. You will learn to assess the body for holding patterns, find trigger points, use joint mobilization and passive stretching to relieve trigger points and bring the body back into balance. Think movement, movement and movement. This workshop is especially beneficial for those who work with athletes and clients with chronic pain.

Course Description:

Have you always been intrigued by energy work but didn’t want to do it full time? Good news!
Polarity Therapy techniques are easily incorporated into any type of bodywork. It is a natural
healthcare system that addresses the interdependence of mind, body, and spirit; the importance of
relationships; and the value of creating a way of life in harmony with nature.
In this 20 hour course, we will work through clinically valuable bodywork and energy techniques that
anyone can use in their practice. Topics include basic tenets of Polarity; gait and postural
assessment; basic nutrition; movement; breath and sound work; and energy-based self-care
exercises.
Students are encouraged to bring their own sound-healing instruments, such as hand drums, rattles,

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Certification with Nicola McGill

Course Description:

This 5½-day MLD certification course is based on the techniques developed by Dr. Emil Vodder, Ph.D., MT. When skillfully applied, this therapeutic form of soft-tissue mobilization dramatically enhances lymph formation and promotes drainage within the superficial and deep systems of the lymph vascular network. During this course, students will be instructed in anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system. Basic MLD treatment sequences as well as MLD treatment sequences for mild, medically uncomplicated upper and lower extremity lymphedema will be demonstrated and practiced. Each day will be divided into two sections: theoretical and hands-on application.
